The following describes North Dakota Museum of Art sponsorship opportunities, the demographic that each event attracts, and the company benefits available at each sponsorship level. Your generous support for the Museum will also contribute to quality of life for your employees and make the region an attractive place for new residents.
Exhibition Program
Temporary exhibitions are housed in the Museum’s three galleries changing every 6 to 8 weeks. The Museum’s collection, which began in 1989, numbers 900 objects encompassing national and international contemporary art acquired through the exhibition program, as well as works that are vital to the visual history of the region. The Museum also commissions new work, by artists that explore the unique and changing culture and environment of the Northern Plains. Museum attendance averages 25,000-30,000 per year on-site. This represents our broadest demographic.

CONCERTS IN THE GARDEN SERIES
There are six casual concerts throughout the summer in the Museum’s sculpture garden with music ranging from Folk to Bluegrass to Rock. The public is invited to bring a lawn chair or a blanket and claim a place in the garden. The BBQ grill will be up and running. While attracting a broad audience of between 200 and 400 per concert, the Concerts draw a large number of young people and those interested in a casual music setting with beer and brats.

SUMMER ART CAMPS FOR CHILDREN
The week-long Arts Camps give students the chance to work with a professional, regional artist to create unique works of art. Each week a new artist will share his or her talent and teach students to have fun with art. The Camps are about having fun and being creative with imagination being the only limit. Average of 100 families with young children are attracted annually. Many develop into long-term Museum supporters.

RURAL ARTS OUTREACH
The Museum’s Rural Initiative is an educational outreach program that encourages and empowers rural school children, their families, their teachers, and their communities to actively participate in learning through the arts. Museum staff members take exhibitions and ancillary programs as far as 400 miles away, always with the involvement of local communities. An Artist in Residence program is offered to participating communities. Reaches an average of over 60 communites across North Dakota and Western Minnesota with an attendance of over 6,000 annually. Exhibition newspaper insert reaches over 26,000 households each year.

AUTUMN ART AUCTION
This established live auction of original art, now in its tenth year, continues to reach and ever widening audience. The Auction is an opportunity for Museum supporters to acquire work by artists of national and international stature—many of whom have roots in the region or have exhibited in the Museum. Over 200 attendees interested in art, building a personal art collection and networking with other professionals. 2000 people received the Autumn Art Auction catalog containing full-color ads for business sponsors throughout the region. The catalog highlights artists, making it a highly collected, displayed and referenced guide to regional, national, international artists.

Myra Presents: Sunday Concerts in the Galleries
The Myra Presents: Sunday Concerts in the Galleries Series brings high quality classical music programs to the Grand Forks region. These annual five concerts showcase prize winning, nationally and internationally acclaimed musicians. This showcase of classical music attracts an average of 100 people per concert enjoying a formal, intimate setting in the Museum’s galleries.

BENEFIT DINNER AND ART SALE
This annual fundraiser is considered by many to be the premier event in North Dakota. During the evening, over 200 guests are served a gourmet dinner, and fifty works of art are sold in a silent auction. Corporate sponsors for this event have represented the premiere businesses of Grand Forks and the region. Your sponsorship of this event not only highlights your business but also supports the quality of cultural life in Grand Forks. Over 200 arts and culture supporters, including community leaders as well as business and academic professionals, attend this event.
