The North Dakota Museum of Art is truly remarkable and invaluable. The Museum is nationally recognized for the 1) Strength of its programs, 2) Groundbreaking human rights exhibitions, 3) Responsiveness to its community, 4) Involvement with international artists, and 5) The commissioning of landmark works of art anchored in our landscape, history, and culture.
Visitors find artists from around the globe shown in tandem with those from across the States and our own region. The Rural Arts Initiative brings exhibitions and art programs throughout North Dakota. There's music: an outdoor Summer Concert Series in the Garden among the peonies and roses, and a Winter Classical Series. Heather Schneider, the Museum's masterful chef, creates delicious dishes for the newly renovated Museum Cafe. Family Days bring kids and adults together to probe the art on exhibit through hands-on learning activities. Weekly Summer Art Camps are among the seventy-some events that flesh out NDMOA’s calendar.
