Language: Abstract and Concrete

The North Dakota Museum of Art is filling the galleries with works from the Permanent Collection. The exhibition will be divided into two themes. Visitors will find work based abstraction in one gallery and language-based artwork in the other.
Artists in the exhibition include: Xu Bing, Gonzalo Rojas and Guillermo Nunez, Steve Sorman and Patricia Hampf, Francis Wilson, Ewa Tarsia, Paul Fundingsland, Adam Kemp, Kellyann Burns, Marjorie Schlossman, Will Maclean, Jaune Quick-to-See Smith, Barton Benes, Doug Kinsey,Vance Gellert, Daniel Heyman, John Cage, William T. Wiley, Kiki Smith, Geoffrey Wharton, T.L. Solien, Steve Heitzeg, Clair Van Vliet, Lene MacGrath Welker, and Janet Markarian.
Echavarría has shown at the North Dakota Museum of Art as part of The Disappeared exhibition,which opened in 2005, and again later that year with a solo exhibition. Requiem NN is a gift from the artist.
